River City FCU is always evaluating our products and services, hours of operation, technology, staff, and branch locations to ensure that we are serving the needs of our members and doing what is best for the membership and the credit union. Therefore we will be making the following changes:
- Branch Hours: River City FCU’s Thousand Oaks and Bandera locations will be transitioning to a five-day service week effective December 25, 2017. This is a permanent change which will result in the following hours for both branches: Tuesday through Friday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.
- Branch Closure: Effective Wednesday, January 31, 2018, River City Federal Credit Union will permanently close its Southeast location at 7131 Fairlawn, San Antonio, TX 78223.
All other branches will remain open regular days/hours. We invite you to visit a nearby shared branch location and to continue to utilize our additional service options, including rcityonline banking, and rcitymobile banking/deposit. - The decision to transition the Thousand Oaks and Bandera locations to a five-day service week and permanently close the Southeast branch in 2018 was made after careful evaluation of the transaction volume at these branches, along with increased usage of self-service options by our entire membership. This change will allow RCFCU to satisfy our members’ increased demand for electronic services.
Is River City FCU in financial trouble?
- These changes in no way reflect our solvency. Member assets are safe at River City FCU, and we will continue to offer all the products, services, and benefits we currently offer to all our members. These changes are part of our overall strategy to align our resources with the needs of our membership and community.
