Each year, River City Federal Credit Union hosts an Annual Meeting to celebrate our successes from the past year, discuss plans for the future, and conduct our Board of Director elections. Members are invited to enjoy refreshments, as well as meet fellow members, along with River City Federal Credit Union staff.
River City Federal Credit Union will host its 83rd Annual Meeting on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. The meeting will begin at 6:30 PM. Please join us at the YWCA, 503 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX, 78237.
Nominating Committee Report
The Board of Directors has appointed a Nominating Committee of Gail Ribalta, Steve Skloss, and William Bruce Ashton for the 2020 elections.
This year, there are three (3), three-year terms up for election. The Nominating Committee has submitted the following candidates for consideration:
- Kevin Rasco has been actively involved in credit unions for over 21 years. He began as a teller/member service representative at the Temple Santa Fe Credit Union in Temple, Texas and would later serve there as a Board Member and Vice Chair. For the last three years, he has served the River City Federal Credit Union as a Board Member, Vice Chair, and Chair. Kevin lives in south San Antonio with his wife of 16 years and works for San Antonio ISD as the District Coordinator for Advanced Placement. Recently, he was appointed to the Board of Trustees for South San Antonio ISD.
- Elia Carmona (incumbent) is a retired AT&T employee with more than 44 years of experience. She has served on the credit union’s Supervisory Committee since 2011 and on the Board of Directors since 2013. Elia has also worked with the Women of AT&T and the Hispanic/Latino Association of Communications Employees at AT&T professional and community service organizations.
- Joe Díaz, Jr. (incumbent) is a retired, 28-year employee of AT&T Inc. (formerly SBC). He has been a member of the RCFCU Board of Directors since 2002 and has been affiliated with RCFCU since 1975, serving on the RCFCU Credit Committee, Advisory Committee, Nominating Committee and Asset-Liability Committee.
Nominations by Petition
Nominations by petition from qualified members are accepted when signed by 1% of the membership or 116 members (subject to verification). Persons nominated by petition must submit a Volunteer Submission form and a Biographical Questionnaire, along with the petition. Deadline for Nominations by Petition is March 10, 2020.
The results of the election will be announced at the Annual Meeting on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.
