Can I also use my physical card as tap pay?
Adding your card to your digital wallet is the only way to use the tap feature with a River City FCU debit/credit card.
Can I add all my River City FCU’s cards to my digital wallet?
Yes, all of River City FCU’s debit and credit cards are available for use in Apple Pay®, Google Pay™ or Samsung Pay.
Can I add my cards to multiple digital wallets?
Yes, if you have different devices, you may add your cards to multiple digital wallets. Ensure it is your device, and you are the only authorized person to access your card(s).
What do I do when I get a renewal card?
When your card expires and you receive your renewal card, you will need to update the card details in the digital wallet. Information like expiration date and CVV will need to be updated before use. The card must also be activated prior to adding the information to your digital wallet.
Is contactless pay secure?
Yes, digital wallets can be safe if you use them with the proper security precautions. It is important to monitor your account, turn on card alerts and limit (or monitor very closely) use of public or unsecured wi-fi networks. Don’t give your codes to anyone, scammers will try to trick you to giving away personal information to them including the 2-way authentication code the digital wallet sends you to access the wallet, make a purchase or to modify the card.
What do I do if my card is lost or stolen?
If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, immediately login to digital banking, select your checking account or credit card then Card Management to turn your card off. For a new card, you can call us during business hours at 210-225-0708 or visit a branch near you. You can also cancel your card by calling us at 210-225-0708. If your card is found and it was not in danger of being compromised, you can login into digital banking and turn your card on.
What do I do if my phone is lost or stolen?
It is always recommended that you have a passcode, or biometrics set on your device to protect it if it is lost, misplaced, or stolen. If your phone is lost, you should login to digital banking as soon as possible, select your checking account or credit card the Card Management to turn your card off. You can also call us at 210-225-0708.
Can I unknowingly make a purchase if I am close to a contactless pay terminal?
If your phone is in a locked position, it should not be possible. Although it's not impossible, it's very unlikely since you have to be extremely close to the card reader for a successful transaction.
Can I use contactless pay outside the U.S?
Yes, anywhere Visa is accepted, if the merchant has the authorized card terminal to accept digital payment.
How soon can I use contactless pay after adding it to my wallet?
Immediately, after you successfully add your card to your digital, you may begin to use. Remember, if it is a new card, you do still have to activate it first before adding it to your digital wallet.
