ITIN Mortgage Loans in San Antonio

Did you know that you can purchase a home with your Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)?

It’s true!

If you live, work and pay taxes in the United States but don’t have a social security number, you may have been issued an ITIN or Individual Tax Identification Number. This nine-digit number series is a unique identifier provided by the IRS that can also be used to build credit and even apply for a mortgage.

Applying for an ITIN Mortgage may seem unfamiliar, but we work hard to ensure you aren’t alone. We meet face-to-face with each applicant, walking you through every step, so there are no surprises. If you are a current member (or qualify to become a member) with an issued ITIN who has lived in Bexar County for a minimum of three years, we want to help you achieve your dream of home ownership.

Here’s what you can expect when applying for an ITIN Mortgage with us:

  1. Request an appointment by clicking below.

  2. Appointment with an RCity FCU representative. Together we’ll discuss program requirements, eligibility and the application process.

  3. Document Gathering. Use our handy checklist provided at your appointment to gather all the required documentation before sending it back to your RCity FCU representative.

  4. Submit Application. You don’t have to worry about a thing—we’ll do all the heavy lifting here. We will submit your documents and application to our home lending partner, Credit Union Mortgage Association (CUMA).

  5. Final Steps. A CUMA representative will take over from here, leading you through the rest of the home buying process, including underwriting and closing.
