River City Federal Credit Union Awarded $10 Million Grant
Award will Expand Home Improvement Loans and Sustainability Initiatives
SAN ANTONIO – River City Federal Credit Union (RCFCU) has been awarded a $10 million grant from Inclusiv’s Clean Communities Investment Accelerator (CCIA), a program under the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF). This funding will enhance RCFCU’s efforts to provide affordable home improvement and repair loans that expand sustainability initiatives to the benefit of members and the broader community of San Antonio.
RCFCU is among 64 credit unions nationwide selected to receive a share of the $464 million in CCIA awards, aimed at reducing household energy costs, increasing financial security, and promoting environmental sustainability. The CCIA program mobilizes credit unions to offer accessible financing solutions, helping American households and businesses transition to energy-efficient solutions while creating jobs in the process.

With this funding, River City FCU plans to:
Expand its home improvement loan program, offering affordable financing options for energy-efficient home improvements and repairs, electric vehicles, and sustainable upgrades.
Promote sustainability initiatives, helping members reduce energy costs while contributing to a greener future.
Enhance financial accessibility, ensuring underserved communities have access to responsible and impactful lending solutions.
RCFCU’s selection from over 250 credit unions that applied underscores its dedication to innovation and community impact. The credit union will begin rolling out expanded offerings in the coming months.
